MY PATHWAY INTO THE TECH WORLD
As a computer science student, I know there’s more to computer science than just programming(coding) but I never got to find out, I have heard about UI/UX countless times but I didn’t know what it was.
I started having a glimpse about UI/UX last month, but this week exposed me more to the field of UI/UX. I got to know more about UI/UX in Future Academy Africa and I was able to infer that to be a UI/UX designer, you have to be a thinker, dynamic in accepting people’s beliefs.
To become a successful UI/UX designer you must be empathetic. An empathy map is one of the tools used in the UI/UX designing process in getting data from users, we derive user personas using an empathy map.
To a layman UI/UX might be designing but think of it this way:
UI means User Interface, which is the means by which a person controls a software application or hardware device.
UX means User Experience, which is the interaction and experience users have with a company’s products or services.
I can’t wait to start my official 100days of designing with a meaningful case study.
Thanks for getting along!
